IN THE EIGHTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT OF FLORIDA
 ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO.  8.204

ORDER ALLOWING ACCESS TO ALACHUA COUNTY
DEPENDENCY CASE FILES BY THE OFFICE OF
 THE STATE COURTS ADMINISTRATOR

Whereas, the Governor's Task Force on Child Abuse has requested that the Dependency Court Improvement Program (DCIP) evaluate the three current models of legal representation of the Department of Children and Family Services in child welfare cases; and

Whereas, the DCIP has agreed to conduct this study and has chosen Alachua County as one of the geographic areas for evaluation because it hosts one of the pilot projects with the State Attorney's Office providing legal services to the Department; and

Whereas, the court finds that the request by the Governor's Task Force on Child Abuse through the DCIP is made in good faith for legitimate purposes and that it is in the best interest of the citizens of the Alachua County and the State of Florida for this information to be compiled, it is, therefore

Ordered that Teresa Kramer, Pamela Wynn, Laurie Ramsay, and other authorized staff of the Office of the State Courts Administrator, are hereby authorized to review Alachua County dependency case files, both open and closed. This access shall be allowed beginning October 1, 1999 and concluding March 31, 2000. The data collection process shall comply with the requirements of section 39.0132 of the Florida Statutes (1999).

 Ordered on October 11th, 1999.
