ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER 4.300 [New Order No. 8.1181]
No person, including attorneys, shall be permitted entry into the Detention Facility located in the Alachua County Courthouse, or any stairway or elevator or courtroom holding cell used in connection therewith, whenever such facilities are occupied by adult prisoners or juvenile detainees, except the following:
Bailiffs
Correctional Officers of the Alachua County
Department of Corrections
The Sheriff and his Deputies
Custodial personnel of Health & Rehabilitative Services
The Building Superintendent and members of
his staff
Members of fire and emergency units
Provided however, that an attorney may interview a client in a courtroom holding cell with the prior approval of the judge presiding in the courtroom to which that holding cell is adjacent.
No attorney shall have in his possession, either temporarily or permanently, a key to any lock giving access to the Detention Facility or any cell, holding room, stairway or elevator used in connection therewith.
Persons violating this Order shall be required to show cause why they should not be adjudged in contempt of court.
