The Chief Judge, in accordance with §394.4598, Florida Statutes, is charged with approving the education course required to be taken by guardian advocates appointed in Baker and Marchman Act cases in the Eighth Judicial Circuit. Shands HealthCare has prepared a course which meets the criteria established by statute. Shands HealthCare is well qualified and has agreed to administer the guardian advocate education course for the guardian advocates appointed for patients in the Shands HealthCare facilities. It is therefore
ORDERED that Shands HealthCare is appointed to coordinate the guardian advocate education course for advocates appointed for Shands HealthCare patients. The course outlined in Shands HealthCare's letter of November 9, 1998,* to the court is approved and Shands HealthCare is hereby assigned the duty of training guardian advocates appointed for Shands HealthCare patients.
