THE EIGHTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT OF FLORIDA

Administrative Order No. 5.131

PAYMENT OF DEPENDENCY GENERAL MASTER, JANUARY 7-17, 2003

            Whereas, there exists an immediate need to provide “overlapping services” for the successor Dependency General Master on a limited basis, to hear and address dockets that were already set for review; and

            Whereas, the successor Dependency General Master shall be compensated for his services during this limited term, it is therefore

            ORDERED

            1.         The successor Dependency General Master shall be compensated at the rate of $33.40 per hour for presiding over the following dependency hearings held on: 

                        a.         January 7, 2003 and January 14, 2003, in Alachua County; and

                        b.         January 8, 2003, in Levy County; and

                        b.         January 16, 2003, in Gilchrist County.

            2.         The successor Dependency General Master shall also be compensated at the rate of $33.40 per hour for one (1) full-day, the date to be chosen by the successor Dependency General Master, through January 17, 2003, and not to exceed eight (8) hours of preparation time associated with the above hearings.

            3.         Payment for services rendered shall be made in accordance with the Florida Prompt Payment Act, on a case-by-case basis and only after appropriate invoice and documentation of each service period is delivered to Court Administration.

            4.         The successor Dependency General Master shall submit the invoice to Court Administration no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2003. The invoice must specify the date or dates of service, number of hours worked, and county of service.
