ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER 4.005

FELONY FORENSIC DOCKET CODES

Whereas, felony criminal cases in which defendants who have been found incompetent to proceed or not guilty by reason of insanity require management by the court according to specialized statutes and rules; and

Whereas, the management of these cases is paramount in the Eighth Judicial Circuit; and

Whereas, by establishing and using docket codes in felony criminal forensic cases, the judiciary and court staff can better manage these cases and retrieve case information, which, in turn, will accomplish a more effective management of these specialized cases. It is therefore

ORDERED

1. The Court has developed and will maintain current felony criminal "Forensic Forms" for use on a circuit wide basis to ensure uniformity pursuant to a separate administrative order.

2. The Court has developed and will maintain current felony criminal forensic docket codes which electronically label forensic orders for management purposes.

3. Clerks of Court in the Eighth Judicial Circuit shall enter the uniform felony criminal forensic docket codes into a court accessible felony criminal forensic electronic database.

4. A complete current list of the felony criminal forensic codes will be made available on the Eighth Judicial Circuit's website at www.circuit8.org.
