ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER No. 3.1101

DISTRIBUTION OF APPROPRIATED FUNDS FOR PAYMENT OF APPOINTED MEDIATORS IN EXPANDED ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROJECT

Whereas, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Program of the Eighth Judicial Circuit received a grant from the Florida Dispute Resolution Center for expanded alternative dispute resolution services; and

Whereas, the Expanded Alternative Dispute Resolution Project requires the Alternative Dispute Resolution program to appoint Supreme Court certified County mediators to provide mediation services for disputing parties; and

Whereas, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Program maintains a list of active Supreme Court certified County mediators to provide the mediation services as set forth in the grant; and

Whereas, the Florida Dispute Resolution Center has allocated $1025.00 to the Eighth Judicial Circuit, through Alachua County, for payment of mediation services provided by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Project; and

Whereas, the Expanded Alternative Dispute Resolution Project Grant provides a payment of $25.00 to active Supreme Court certified County mediators for each mediated case completed;

It is therefore ORDERED as follows:

The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners shall receive the allocation for the Eighth Judicial Circuit and upon completion of a mediation shall disburse $25.00 to the mediator designated by the Expanded Alternative Dispute Resolution Project Office.
