Procedures And Responsibilities

For Civil Divisions Of The Alachua County Court

Whereas, the orderly administration of justice requires that Alachua County Court judges, attorneys, litigants, and personnel in the various agencies dealing with the courts be advised of the responsibilities of the Alachua County Court Civil Divisions, as well as the procedures relating to those responsibilities. It is therefore,

 ORDERED that

 Civil cases brought in Alachua County shall be heard in Divisions IV and V of Alachua County Court. Each division will be responsible for management and disposition of one-half of all civil cases and civil traffic cases. In addition, Divisions IV and V will be responsible for those duties described in the section entitled "Temporary Assignments of County Court Judges as Circuit Judges in Alachua County" of the Amended General Assignment of Judges Administrative Order effective January 1, 1996 and shall be responsible for the duties described in the same entitled section in future General Assignment of Judges Administrative Orders.
