COMMUNICATIONS NOTICING COURT PROCEEDINGS

 

Whereas, Florida Rule of Judicial Administration 2.065 requires that notice of court proceedings to be held in a public facility contain certain language, including information pertinent to the particular circuit or county in which those notices are sent. and
Whereas, it is the intent of the Eighth Judicial Circuit to provide uniformity thorough the circuit in providing notice of court proceedings; it is therefore
ORDERED that all communications noticing court proceedings include the following language:
"If you are a person with a disability who needs any accommodation in order to participate in this proceeding, you are entitled, at no cost to you, to the provision of certain assistance. Please contact Jan Phillips, Personnel Specialist, Alachua County Courthouse, 201 E. University Ave, Gainesville FL 32601, (352)374-3648, within 2 working days of your receipt of this [describe notice]; if you are hearing or voice impaired, call 1-800-955-8771."

All communications noticing court proceedings currently in stock may be used prior to compliance with this order. All new communications ordered and computer generated forms that need to be altered shall comply with this order as soon as practicable.
